Espressionismo Floreale by designer Laura Niubó is a rug collection that explores the theme of the rebirth of life through flowers. Using colors and geometric shapes, each textile artwork captures one natural reproductive part of a flower in its most abstract form.
The rugs have earned recognition from the press and international design awards: A’ Design Awards, iF Design Awards, Muse Design Awards, London Design Awards and The Carpet Design Awards for best furniture, collection and textile categories.

The design is a study of color and composition that generates a sensation of sinuous, elegant, and forceful movement as these flowers, owned by nature, recall the importance of flora itself.

Espressionismo Floreale rugs are woven using a luxurious blend of New Zealand wool and vegan silk. There are six unique designs: Stamen, Leaf, Anther, Petal, Filament and Carpel that appeal to different personalities. The rugs are designed in Los Angeles and made in Portugal using the hand tufting technique.
The 16mm pile height gives a very comfortable touch, depth, look, and softness, creating a product that elevates the experience whether you are sitting, lying down, or simply contemplating.

Environmentally-friendly New Zealand wool can purify the air, provide thermal comfort, and is both allergy-safe and fire-resistant. It is soil and stain-resistant, with long-term appearance retention, color retention, texture recovery, mildew resistance, and water repellency. Bamboo silk is also a sustainable fabric. Not only is bamboo renewable and extremely fast-growing, but it also needs less chemical intervention to thrive. It has intrinsic moisture-absorption capabilities and is naturally resistant to mold, mildew, and odors, making it excellent for maintaining hypoallergenic and antimicrobial properties. Both materials keep landfills and air clean from VOCs.

Crafted upon order, each rug is numbered. There are three standard sizes for each design: small, medium, and large. Custom sizes and commissions are available, as long as the design is preserved.

The rugs take 4 to 5 weeks to be made once the order is placed. Big sizes and orders can take longer.
Shipping takes between 2-6 weeks depending on destination. We ship globally and we offer free shipping. Any applicable taxes, import duties, shipping and insurance costs might vary depending on delivery destination.

The rugs are carefully handcrafted using natural and eco-friendly materials, such as wool and vegan silk. NIUBÓ cares for and supports a production process that prioritizes the use of local and environmentally safe, non-toxic solutions. Everything Beiriz Atelier uses is sourced locally in Portugal. The dyes, which are also made in Portugal, comply with all European laws and are fully certified.
