DISPATCH, SHIPPING & COSTS

Rugs:

The rugs are designed in Los Angeles and made in Portugal. They are numbered and made to order. We offer three standard sizes but we do custom sizes as long as the proportion of the artwork remains. The rugs take 5 to 6 weeks to be made once the order is placed. Big sizes and orders can take longer.  We offer commissioned work for specific projects and client demands.

Shipping takes between 2-6 weeks depending on destination. We ship globally and we offer free shipping. Any applicable taxes, import duties, shipping and insurance costs might vary depending on delivery destination.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail and invoice once your order has been placed and when it has shipped. 

Fine Art Prints:

All printed artworks are limited edition fine art archival prints and hand-signed by the artist Laura Niubó. Each fine art print includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Once the order is made allow between 5 to 8 days business days depending on size. Big orders or sizes can take longer. Price varies on size and edition. Please contact to make an inquiry.

We ship globally in custom size tubes and boxes. Any applicable taxes, import duties, shipping and insurance costs may vary. Shipping time takes between 1 to 3 weeks and it will depend on final destination.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail and invoice once your order has been placed and when it has shipped. 

We offer two shipping options for orders within the United States. All deliveries within the United States will have local taxes added on the invoice. Deliveries to addresses in the United States are made by FedEx or local carrier. Shipping costs are calculated by volumetric weight and are communicated at the time of order. 

Estimated delivery time within the continental United States is 10-14 business days.

NIUBÓ is pleased to offer international shipping to any destination worldwide. We are standing by to assist you with bringing your order home or delivering it to loved ones anywhere around the globe.

International shipping costs are calculated by volumetric weight and are shown at the time of order. NIUBÓ packages are shipped via Federal Express international shipping service. Delivery can take place in 2-3 weeks. Orders are ready to ship within five to eight business days of placing an order. A business day is considered to be Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. 

Please note that shipments outside the US may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are the sole responsibility of the recipient. The order will be Delivered at Place (DAP - incoterms 2010). Local duties and taxes will be payable directly to the delivery customs agency at the time of entry.

DELIVERY, RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Rugs ship within 5-6 weeks after an order has been placed. Once the item has been ordered, you will receive an automatic email and cancellation is not possible. 

We want you to love your purchase, so if you are not completely happy when you receive your rug, you may return it to us within 15 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange – provided that the item is returned unused and in its original packaging with the original pole. Rugs that are damaged or soiled will not be accepted for return. We will not accept any returns of a rug pad underlay if it has been opened.

Returns are refunded in the original payment form for the merchandise price. If the inner pole is not returned with the rug, an additional $50 charge will apply. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, unless the item received is damaged, defective or incorrect. For international returns, we will not credit customs and duties paid on your order; this must be pursued by customers. Niubó is not liable for the loss of the item being returned.

Time from Receipt:

Up to 15 days = Full refund
After 15 days = Non-refundable

The value of an item is determined by the amount paid and listed on your invoice. If you are exchanging for a completely different item, the value of the new item is determined by the online listed price at the time your exchange is processed. We cannot apply discounts from past sales/promotions.

Custom sizes sales are final. We do not offer refunds or accept exchanges.

If there is a problem with your order, contact us within three (3) days of receipt. If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item, we will work with you to make things right. If the packaging is damaged, please do not sign the delivery docket and contact us immediately.

Art Prints sales are final. We do not offer refunds or accept exchanges.

CUSTOM & SALE ITEMS

We regret that we are not able to cancel, refund or exchange custom rugs or sale items unless there are manufacturer defects or damages.

Sales items purchased during a promotion, or from the “Archive Sale” section are a final sale. No exchanges or returns of sale items are accepted at any time. 

MANUFACTURING VARIATIONS

Our rugs are individually handmade and as such they are subject to the following variations, which are not considered faults or defects:

Size: Being a hand made article, the size can vary by +/-3% from the size ordered.

Color: Our products are made primarily from natural and natural dyed fibres and materials. Every effort is made to ensure there is minimal color variation however some variation can be expected.

Fading: Placing rugs in direct and continuous sunlight will cause them to fade. Darker colors will fade in natural light/sunlight. Some color may transfer on light colored surfaces. Rotate your rug to minimize damage caused by natural light.

Design & Construction: Minor variations may be evident, which is due to the fact that the Product is a handmade item including line/ weave thickness.

Shading: Due to changes in pile and weave direction shading may occur and is a natural characteristic of carpets and rugs.

Shedding: Our handmade rugs are made from all natural fibers. Natural fiber rugs will initially shed loose fibers, this is a normal process. The removal of any loose fibers will be hastened by regular vacuuming using a good quality upright vacuum cleaner.

Pilling: Can occur due to traffic, moving of furniture, vacuuming or other mechanical agitation. This can be trimmed with scissors.

Pop-ups: Due to the type of weaving, there will be short fibers popping up while the rug settles. This can be trimmed or pushed through.

WARRANTY

Our rugs are handmade and are therefore unable to have an unconditional warranty. However, we will repair or replace any rug if it is defective within 3 months from the date of purchase, provided the rug was used for normal household purposes and maintained in accordance with the care instructions by you. Any improper or negligent use or neglect will void this warranty. The warranty applies to household residential use only and not to any commercial, contract, rental, trade, institutional or other non-residential use.

If you wish to make a claim under this warranty, please contact our Customer Care team at +1 424 3547413 or info@lauraniubo.com. You will be asked to provide:

• The invoice number and date of purchase; and

• Photographic evidence to support your claim, including a top shot of the product with at least two close-up images of the defect.

For the avoidance of doubt, a product is not defective if there is a manufacturing variation referred to above.

LIABILITY

Notwithstanding any other provision of this agreement, we shall have no liability to you (whether for breach of contract, negligence or on any other basis) for loss of use, profit, revenue, business, contract or anticipated benefit or saving, or for any delay, increase in operating costs or for any special, indirect or consequential loss. Otherwise, our maximum aggregate liability to you (whether for breach of contract, negligence or on any other basis) is limited to the price of the product in respect of which such liability may arise.

Unless otherwise indicated, we own the copyright and other intellectual property rights (“IP”) in the content on this website. Some of the IP in the content may be owned by someone else and is included on our website under a licence or agreement.

All copying, downloading, reproduction, distribution adaptation, modification or communication of the site or any content is prohibited except with our prior written permission. The site contains trademarks which are registered or otherwise protected by law. You are not permitted to use these trademarks except with our prior written permission.
